Coffee & Chat to Round off 2020!

Coffee & Chat to Round off 2020!

Can you believe it’s November already!

After cancelling the bigger end of year event I had planned in October I’ve really been feeling like we need a little bit of something social to finish off the year.  I did a poll in the NZ Machine Embroidery Addicts group and you guys agreed!

However, in light of the risks that we still face from a health perspective, I’ve decided to just go for something small at my home studio instead.

🧵 Let’s get together for a coffee and a chat to round off 2020! 🧵

Whether you’re a newbie just starting out or very experienced embroiderer come join us!  This is going to be a small, casual get together and there may also be some freebies from Echidna Sewing involved.

Since we’re doing this event at my home studio space, spaces are very limited.  The ticket includes tea/coffee/drinks along with a selection of catered lunch and nibbles and of course great company to refuel your inspiration and social tank!

I also have some Brother NZ sewing, embroidery and craft demo machines here which you’re welcome to have a nosey at too if there is something you have your eye on for Christmas.

Sunday 29th November 2020

11am – 2pm at my studio space in Howick, Auckland

Tickets are $20 incl GST each and are limited due to the venue space.

Payment is via bank transfer – you need to purchase a ticket to reserve your spot.

To buy a ticket, click the “+” button in the ticket box below and select the number of tickets you would like to purchase then click “Get Tickets” and follow the prompts through from there.

Let’s get together this month and some create some fun embroidered creations together!

I did a poll in the group and got an even response between Free Standing Lace (FSL) jewellery/ornaments and In The Hoop (ITH) Coasters – so let’s do both!

This is a casual get together for all levels of experience whether you’re just starting out with machine embroidery or if you’re a seasoned pro – the idea is to get together, have some fun and share knowledge with each other AND you’ll come away with some great creations and inspiration you can take home with you!

PLUS you’ll get to play with all of the embroidery machines I have in my studio including the Echidna exclusive in NZ – Brother VE2300 and Brother Stellaire XJ1, Brother NV2600 and Brother PR1000e 10 needle.

Details About the Event:

Spaces are limited to 10 people max due to the size of my studio space so if you plan to come along, grab a ticket straight away!

The $10 fee covers the use of all of my embroidery machines, stabilizer, fabric, thread, batting, designs and other supplies along with tea, coffee and other drinks.  Some snacks will be provided as well.  You are welcome to bring some additional snacks or drinks with you if you would like something specific.
NZ Machine Embroidery Addicts End of Year Event 2018

NZ Machine Embroidery Addicts End of Year Event 2018

In November 2018 after having a few local Auckland based monthly catch ups I decided it might be fun to have an end of year event at my house with a few extra people.  Well what started small turned into a larger event with 40 people at the Brother NZ offices in Auckland CBD with our amazing guest speaker – Gary Walker, the owner of Echidna Sewing who flew over from Australia to join us.

It was an amazing event full of fun, knowledge and amazing goodie bags and lots of new friendships were made!  It was also then, that I came on board as Echidna Sewing’s NZ Manager (if you haven’t read my story about that yet – go check it out).

The support from Brother NZ and Echidna Sewing Supplies was truly amazing and really a demonstration of how many embroiderers there are around New Zealand who are looking to connect with other like-minded people and learn more about machine embroidery.

I now try to have an end of year event every year as there are so many from around the country who need a good excuse to set aside a day to refil their “embroidery inspiration” cup.  I also continue to have monthly get togethers in Auckland (which anyone is welcome to come to) – some are coffee catch ups at a local cafe and others are events where we get together and make fun embroidered items.

All upcoming events are listed in the events section of the website and are also sent out via our newsletter (you can sign up for that here).  If you’re not yet a member of our Facebook group – come along and join, that’s where a lot of the fun and connection happens!

If I haven’t yet, I hope to meet you at an event soon!
